Fire Industry Association

In September 2014, Argus became a member of the FIA (Fire Industry Association). The objective of the FIA is to promote the professional standards of the fire industry through close liaison and lobbying with Government and official bodies, as well as other key organisations in the industry. The FIA provide technical knowledge, advice and support, and also provide training courses to educate personnel working in the fire industry, insuring competence and good standards.

Constructionline

In 2009 Argus gained Construction Line membership. Construction Line is the UK’s largest certified pre-qualification database, saving the construction industry over £500 million a year in administration.

Already used by over 60% of local authorities, they reduce duplication and save time and money by encouraging organisations to use a single source for pre-qualification.

CHAS

Early in 2008 Argus, became accredited by The Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme, CHAS.
This ensures that we promote the latest safety techniques and protocols.

Argus Fire and Security engineers are also CSCS trained by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.

CSCS is a health and safety scheme for the construction industry to give less risk of incidents to our staff, customers and members of the general public. Argus Fire and Security recognise the importance of Health and Safety and are committed to promoting safe working environments.

NSI NACOSS GOLD

Approved services and NSI Certificate(s) of Approval:

– The Design, Installation and Maintenance of Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control Systems.

– The Design, Installation, Commissioning and Handover, Verification and Maintenance of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems.

The NSI (National Security Inspectorate) is the UK’s leading certification body for the Fire and Security industries. Argus first achieved accreditation in 1996, and have been designated NSI NACOSS GOLD since 2004. We have had a Certificate of Quality Assurance to BS EN ISO 9002:1994 and NSI NACOSS GOLD Quality Schedule SSQS 101 since September 2001. Argus currently hold NSI Gold Certification for Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV and Fire Detection Systems.

Pasma

PASMA is the Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association. Being approved means that the individual has successfully completed a training course to erect dismantle and work off scaffolding safely. Argus installation engineers are PASMA approved.

IPAF

Argus engineers are trained by the International Powered Access Federation, IPAF.

This enables our engineers to operate powered lifting equipment such as cherry pickers and scissor lift’s, both legally and safely.

CSL

Argus are not only a CSL DualCom approved company, but with over 75 percent of our customers monitored intrurder alarms and fire detection systems connected to CSL communicators, Argus staff have a great knowledge on all DualCom products.

Argus currently have DualCom connections installed across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and consider CSL the market leader in monitoring equipment. In 2017 CSL introduced their CCTV router enabling Argus to now offer dual path monitoring on CCTV systems also.

URMET

Argus Fire and Security are an Urmet service partner. This demonstrates that all Argus engineers are trusted by Urmet to install and maintain their quality Access Control Systems.

Gent 24

In 2016 Argus were proud to become a Gent 24 Partner, Argus are now a certified Gent Integrator, experienced in the design, installation and servicing Gent fire detection systems.

Redcare

Argus are not only approved by Redcare, we are also a Redcare Partner, trusted and recognised as a competent installer of this monitoring solution.

Paxton

Argus are a Paxton approved Access Control installer and have been installing Paxton Switch 2 and PC based Net 2 Systems for over 10 years.

Safe Contractor

SafeContractor delivers a tailored health and safety accreditation allowing contractors to showcase their capabilities to potential customers.

BAFE

In January 2015 Argus were proud to become NSI Fire Gold and BAFE Accredited to SP203-1. BAFE is the independent third party registration body for the fire protection industry.

By being BAFE approved, we are annually inspected to the current fire industry regulations. This demonstrates our companies competence in this ever changing industry. Our application has now started to increase our BAFE approval to also cover the design and installation of fire detection systems.

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme designed to help protect organisations against cyber attacks. In March 2018 Argus achieved Cyber Essentials Accreditation, this accreditation assures customers that Argus protect it’s clients information and take Cyber Security Seriously.

CSCS

CSCS is the Construction Skills Certification Scheme, CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on site, all Argus engineers carry CSCS cards as proof of safety training and competence.
